Bill. Saw your comment/question but didn't have a link for the report and haven't had time to track it down. I made a hard copy of the Haynesville Overview portion of the report which contained the decline data. Every shale has a different decline rate based on formation pressure. The HS decline is so high because of that pressure. When you compare shale plays you will notice a major difference right away. HS is by far the deepest. The Barnett decline is 56% - 27% -18% -12% -8% for years one through five. Chesapeake's projection for the HS (which is holding up quite well to date) is 81% - 34% - 22% - 17% -13%. Though you will see comments stating that it's too early in the play, not enough data, etc., it appears that early projections by a number of capable operators of a 75% - 81% first year decline will be an accurate range. I suggest you check with Les B. for a link to the article. Regards, Skip
