Land lease question

  Two years ago we leased our land to JW Operating. Questar is drilling a well in our section. Does that mean that JW Operating sold our lease to Questar? I don't understand how all of this works.

Deborah, they must take alot longer to pay off the drilling expenses of a shale well than an up and down well, i started getting checks within 3 months after it went online! Little as they were!

Deborah, i put it up as a discussion but they put in a 2 well pad in sec 7/15N R9W  that my Dad has 20 acres in!  They will drill one in sec. 7 and one in sec. 8.  Site is at intersection of isrealite road and Hall street!  yyyaaaaayyy!  Hope your well is doing something by now, when i saw Lamar a few days back he said he didn't know anything yet.  Good Luck neighbor.  Hoping they will move into Jamestown soon!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
