I just wanted to let any mineral owners of the Wertz-Collie (AW) 1H gas well in Upshur County, TX, know that per RRC completion records the bore hole was lost. Per the completion record, the borehole was so "corkscrewed" that completion equipment could not be placed in the hole. It looks like the company is seeking a permit to move over a couple of hundred feet and redrill the well. This was a 10000+ foot-long lateral. I could use some advice from the gurus of this group. My family was contacted by a Landman about our royalty interest in a new horizontal gas well being drilled in East Texas. The Landman indicated that the oil company wanted all of the signatures and paperwork in place, before the drilling started.
