right on State line. Fina had property leased about 10 years ago and a friend of mine who was geologist with them for 18 years tried to get them to drill unit I'm talking about. As you may know XTO bought Finas interests in N. La. XTO is planning 4 Smackover wells in Section I have interests.
Over the years I have been away from the area I have mostly concentrated my interests in area from Springhill to Haynesville near stateline.
Based upon what I know I would thing most
Smackover leasing would be on fringes of Smackover fields. But, I do expect there will be some Smackover leasing just across state line. I do not know lease status but I expect both XTO and Marathon to do more drilling in that area on basis of what I have heard.
I know of a few places where I would drill if I had leases and $.
