US Gas on a Path to 'Crazy Prices" With No Relief in Sight

Subject: (BN) U.S. Gas on a Path to `Crazy Prices' With No Relief in SightBy Gerson Freitas Jr(Bloomberg) -- U.S. natural gas is on a tear. Prices have almost doubled this year to the highest since the shale revolution more than a decade ago, driving up energy costs and helping fuel the fastest inflation in 40 years.Yet the gas market, once considered a yawn among traders because of its predictability, could be setting the stage for a even wilder rally over the next few months, triggering bets…See More

Chesapeake Totally Naked on NG Hedges!!!

Latest financial and operation report released today by CHK reports ZERO NG hedges for 2012 and 2013. Typical AM "bet the farm" speculation. CHK is a giant land speculation /commodity speculation hedge fund with so much leverage it will now mortgage (VPP) or sell assets at <$3/mmbtu NG to cover a negative cash flow of $8 to $12B this year.

Over mid-term, AM is probably right, but near term cash market will be a disaster this fall if storage is full. This will only affect the cash…

WR, can you share what is up between Matador and BHP/CHK?

As soon as Matador (a working interest) gets through with you, the royalty owners will be lined up to sue you (and CHK) for Floyd and Aubrey's grand speculation on NG in 2009-2011.

WR, I'm actively looking for mineral lessors who would consider being a lead plaintiff in an effort to certify a class for the purpose of litigation against Haynesville operators that entered into MVC's that inflated the sales price at the expense of their mineral lessors.  If you are interested, you have my contact information below.
