that would not surprise me. i know they were leasing in 11-8 a month ago.
I am in 11-8 but have not heard of Petrohawk doing any leasing in the area would like to here from them though since Encana is stuck on there $2000 and 1/5th royalties.
this would be very good news in our area. does anyone know who else besides Encana and now it would seem petrohawk has an interest in north natchitoches parish?
I hear that the state is going to lease the land under black and saline lake. I know that there is a 10,000 plus acre group put together out at 10-6 and 10-7 area. There is also some seismic going on around Goldonna. If you have an offer for lease or an offer for seismic, please give us your info. It can be very helpfull before these companies come in and try to lease to the older folks that don't know what their land is worth. THANK YOU!
Pat,

What is the latest on 10-8? How much acreage do yall have total for 10-8?

Thanks
Black Lake Clear Lake is a little different, the state I heard does not own all the bottom a group of heirs from Baton Rouge own a bulk of it back from the Huey Long days, same heirs own a bunch of the swamp land off I-49 at the Evelyn exit, their ancestors bought up land all over the state and they hold what they can with production and hope for the best on the other.
Pat you are right, the old folks need help in making a deal. The snakes are crawling all over the place. The state will get a deal because they are the state.
two dogs do you know of anything happening in north natchitoches in and around 12-6?
No, but you are in it from what I have looked at on the maps that I have seen. Be careful in what you do in making a deal.
A good bit of Black Lake bottom is HBP by Chesapeake. They have several producing wells that are under the lake. A lot of the lake bottom is owned by one particular land holding group, not the state. Can't recall their name. When Black Lake was formed, the state didn't purchase most of the property, they just got servitudes and the landowners kept ownership of the lake bottom. The state might actually own some of it, but the majority is private with a state waterway servitude.
with things picking up to the west of us in natchitoches parish please keep posting what you see and hear about in our area.

we are one of the fastest growing forums on the haynesville site and i'm hoping that will only afford everyone a more parish specific informative area on the site to come to...

thanks to everyone for keeping the information coming!

Could someone please provide info on the coalition in 10-6 and 10-7? I have a relative with 80 acres in 10-7, and am looking to join these acres into a coalition. Thanks in advance.
