Does anyone have any information on the JB Tutt Survey A-725?  We live out of state and would like to know if anything is going on.  Our lease is with Devon, but we have not heard anything since we signed to lease in October 2008.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thank You. Renee Smith

Renee, Devon permitted a well about 1/4 mile or less south from your survey on 11/17/09 and amended it 2/8/10. It is a 18,000 ft. horizontal named the Adams 1H. Just south of the Devon permitted well is another one permitted by Chesapeake, the Smith 1H. It is a 17,000 ft. horizontal. This is very good news for you as both are very good at making wells in the HS, if not the best. It is time for you to learn the Texas RR Comm. website and how to read the GIS viewfinder map so you can try to figure out where they are in relation you in the Tutt survey. Also keep reading this site as the TRRC website is slow to update, I can't tell if either of those wells have started drilling or not, but there are folks here that know and will chime in. GLTY
Thank you so much for the info. I will check out the website you spoke of. Thanks again for your help. Renee Smith
That website is not the most user friendly nor up to date, but if you look around here there will be instructions on how to look at what you want to know. Plus these wells have been mentioned elsewhere here I believe, so look around. If I were you I would be guardedly excited. Your lease should be in effect till Oct. 2011 if it is a three year, but look, as it could have a two year extension also. It could be different than those typical leases as well, so look. Best of luck to you and let's hope those two wells come in strong, you are in a very possibly good area in my opinion.
That sounds like good news. I hope those wells come in stong too. Our lease with Devon is a 3 year lease with no extension. Thanks again. Renee
Devon Energy / Adams 1H Well / 5.7 miles SE of Timpson in Shelby County, TX / Howell Survey A-273

Look about 8 posts down at this one Renee, I thought i saw something about this DUH!
There is some very new activity that looks to be pretty interesting in that region of Shelby County.

Devon is currently drilling their Adams 1-H well directly below that JB Tutt survey.

Info on that Adams well is at the following link:

http://www.gohaynesvilleshale.com/group/shelbycounty/forum/topics/d...

Chesapeake has also permitted their Smith 1-H well about another mile or so further South in the Ben Camp survey.

Here's a links with further info on that well:

A lot will be learned as these two wells are completed regarding how things are looking for this area.
Nice work D. Gaar, good stuff there.
Thank you very much.
Note typo above - the Smith well is actually in the Ben WHITE survey.
I do appreciate your information that you gave me. I'm sorry I made you feel the need to say (DUH!)
That DUH was about myself not you Renee. Did you find yourself on the GIS map? Thats always kinda neat to be able to actually see it for the first time.
I didn't get a chance to yesterday, but I about to try and find it now. Thank you.
