seismographic survey

Can anyone give me information about this letter I received asking permission to conduct seismographic survey on my land??? I got the letter two days ago and had someone knocking on my door yesterday.

We are in 161030, elm grove area, we signed and asked for payment up front and received payment last year sometime. We did add an addedum from our attorney to their permit, though.
