OK, going forward we have one vertical drilled, one other vertical to be drilled and this one? Is not the Bossier called the upper Haynesville in Texas?

Middle Bossier... just like La. The upper is sand, I believe, and is still named the Bossier Sand. Jay or Les would be the ones to ask about that.

TRRC tried to reduce/remove the naming confusion (Tx./La.) by calling the new consolidated field "Haynesville Shale" instead of Bossier. The Haynesville interval now includes the Bossier in the definition and, just like La., the only way you will know if a well is producing in the Bossier is if the operator tells you, pretty much.

Who's on first, what's on second....if indeed this is a good well that would be great! The vertical that drilled to 18500' knows. Drilling that deep should reveal all....right? Oh, by the way Comstocks well at noble was as described by them as being in the upper haynesville but every one assumes it was the bossier.

Ken, from word of mouth from 3 sources who should know, they stopped from 12,000 to 12,500 ft. on vertical at Hall. Feel like they saw enough of whatever they want to call it to file another permit within 1/2 mile and are proceeding full bore with major gathering line.

jfree1-- there I beleive a different in fields that have bossier sands that is bossier-cotton valley cons where the shale has been squeezed out that you see further to the west in houston, robertson,freestone, etc counties outside of shale play. These sands are deeper in this area as compared to the east texas area. In the shale play area of east texas plano,harrison,shelby,nacgodoches,and san augustine the shale is subdivided in bossier and haynesville shale zone below the CV sands and above the CV aka haynesville lime. The bossier subdivided into upper and mid bossier with the bottom of shale being the Haynesville shale zone.
