Can one of you local guys take a look at the C Hereford survey (Section A-17)? I met with a landman (landlady?) yesterday when my mother-in-law signed her lease, and the landlady said that a pad is being cleared north of 103, about 1.5 miles east of 705. This will not be on the road - maybe 3/4 mile north of 103. Encana should be the one getting ready to drill.

Norwood,W is my brother...yes Eagle Oil and Gas...we have also been contacted by Longhorn which wanted to buy out the mineral rights and or royalties
We have land in the Z-Redmond A-36. Eagle contacted us back in 08 but we didn't do anything. We are not leased. Wells are getting closer so maybe something will develop before long.
Lisa,
I have a lease with Eagle in a tract almost due East of you, WD Bates A-639. Has Eagle given you any indication as to whether they plan to drill your lease? Thanks.
Eagle Oil and Gas with the lease ending in less than a year I'm guessing (hoping sooner).
We have about 38 acres in the z-redmon survey and ours is leased to devon. Our place is the Tom Norwood land. we are at 103 and 147. where is your land located?
Just south of 103 on 705. It starts at County Road 3000.
i am not sure exactly..W. Norwood would know more than i...may be close to JWC's land...i wonder if there is any relation to our family name to that land...
Lots of Seismic cable down 705.
My family has 151 acreas in the Z redmond survey in San Augustine. We leased with Devon. Any word on a well?

nope. It seems Eagle has only drilled 1 well total even with help from another party so I highly doubt that our family will get anywhere with them anytime soon. We need a bigger company to get 'er dun!
A rig is assigned to the EnCana well in A-17 and interest may pick up in that area if they make a good well.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
