EAST TEXAS DRILLING REPORT
Sunday, November 29, 2009
San Augustine County

Devon Energy completed the S. Kardell GU Well No. 1H is to 18,350 feet 1.5 miles east of San Augustine in the Bossierville Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 30.711 million cubic feet of gas in the Bossier Shale.
Now we need Encana to hit one like the Kardell.
New permit submissions today by Devon on RRC (05/20/2010). They are doing a horizontal at the Skillern site . James Lime formation.
27 ft from the old well :)
That's an interesting development. The #1 well was permitted originally for the Angie or Wildcat field. They added the Haynesville field last month.

The new permit says that the #1 well will not be completed in Angie (James Lime) so they must have had enough show from the James to warrant another well... oh well, I guess it doesn't matter where the gas comes from... and the Angie is shallower and cheaper to drill. Maybe they will put the well into the new Core Labs study of the James Lime formation.

This is the same area that Cabot O&G is putting our well, The Whitton Gas Unit Well No. 1H is to be drilled to 13500 feet 4 miles northwest of San Augustine in the T. Quirk Survey, A-35. Sounds like they are shooting for the Haynesville Shale too. We are still hoping to see some additional drilling to the west of this area some time down the road.
Bill R, Cabot reported the Whitton #1H... IP was 6.478 MMcfd.

My mother owns the minerals rights at the location of the Whitton well. I would love more information as you get it. Is this IP information confirmed?
JMN, the link posted above takes you to the IP report... just click on it once. I don't think the paperwork has all been approved yet but it is the "official" initial potential test for the well.
Thank you so much for your help!
Thank you for the info... the IP is great!
