I know that a few people have asked in other discussions, but does anyone have any information about Lane #2? Thanks...we, around that area are really looking forward to some information on how that well is producing. I would appreciate any information.

Thank you very much for your reply. I would appreciate any update you may be given. Thanks!!!
Anyone heard anything on the outcome of this well yet?

Wow! I just looked this thread up to ask the same question! Samson is wanting to renew a lease in the dead zone (i.e. no drilling) close to this site. Just wondering is anything was discovered?
I got a letter from a different company wanting to lease ours recently too. I know that the Larcie #1 which is not far from us was producing well in the Cotton Valley a while back but haven't checked on it lately. Anyone else know anything?
I don't find any information on the Lane #2. The Larcie GU 1#1 is still producing (avg. about 15 MMcf/month) and it is reporting in the Tenaha (Jurassic) field although it may be comingled with the Cotton Valley by now. First production was in Jan. 2008.
I'll take a good Tenaha/Cotton Valley well any day! Thanks jffree!
I have received two letters from separate companies in the last couple of weeks offering to buy or lease our mineral rights there. I found it very odd that all of a sudden I have started to receive offers again. I do know there is another well not too far from both Lane#1 & Lane#2, just a little bit further down 947 but I don't know what the results of that are.
Laurie, Have you been contacted personally by a landman or just a letter in the mail? Mind disclosing what kind of offers you are getting?
Intrepid...I don't mind at all but I don't really think it is much to talk about. Both of those letters were form letters (2months ago or so). I was contacted by Petrohawk some time ago (back in dec or jan...i think) and recently received a third one (last week). I don't give those letters the time of day and just throw away. I did notice on one of them though it was from Casey Harless (rep for the co) and I recognize that name from the Family Tree Corp., although this letter from "Casey Harless" was not from Family Tree but was from a company in Colorado. I will be glad to post if I get more of those letters and I will pay closer attention. Sorry, not much help...:-(
Is there anything going on around this area right now?
Laurie, yes it's not much and that was my point, to fish ot the bona fides of these 'offers'. They are just fishing expeditions by bottom feeders in my opinion. You are right to continue to throw them in the trash, in my opinion.
Hey Intrepid...have you heard anything about this area? Have they just abandoned it or did it just not produce? At one time I was told waiting on pipeline but I don't know of anything going on around here as of right now. Do you or anyone else know anything?????? I really don't know how to check those websites that indicate if well there or how it is producing as well as knowing where the surveys are located anyway....thanks to anyone who know and posts.....Laurie

From today's Tyler paper:

In a lease 2.8 miles northwest of Tenaha, in the Tenaha Field, the Lane Gas Unit Well No. 2 was completed by M.E. Operating to 11,335 feet. The well potentialed 1.148 million cubic feet of gas on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Jurassic.
