Ken, you may be intrested to know that drilling is going on at the present time on a well west of Ebarb school (T 7) - about three weeks of work now - two pads (not the same site) were built on or near Hwy 482 - only one pad is being drilled - my friend has family in that area, but she does not know the name of the company. If you have info on this well, give me an update.

Helmerich & Payne Rig #398 spud the Comstock Ebarb 36HZ #1 on January 5 in S36 - 8N - 14W.  If the surface location was 400' further south, it would be in 7N - 14W.
Yes, Comstock has been leasing heavily in 36 recently. I am indeed happy they are hanging around. Thanks to both of you for your post!
Thanks Skip - good to know the correct township and other info.
The well I was referring to is on Sepulvado Lodge road - name on sign is Attoyac
There is no Attoyac rig listed in the weekly RigData report.  There is a AQUILA DRILLING #12 rig.
Stange - my friend copied the info from the sign on the corner of Hwy 482 and Sepulvado Lodge Road - called her back to check and she said it was Attoyac - but she said she will look again - is there a company by that name? Thanks Skip
I don't show a drilling company by that name in the Rigs & Drillers 2010 Directory.
Thank you for taking the time to look up the name. Maybe the sign is for something else - friend was out that way today and she said she could not hear the noise as it had been up until Wednesday - and today there were no "big" trucks running the road. I will let you know if I find out anything about this well(?).
It's just beyond my back yard (not in my section) singing a tune every night!  It's like having my own personal night light.
attoyac is the location builder
Thanks In the Neighborhood & a - was regretting that I had posted something I heard and not seen. Who is the company drilling? Yea! for the people who are getting a well - hope it is a monster well - love your nightlight ItN. Hopes the action continues to move a little farther south east!!!

I'm not sure of the company drilling, but I am in 7N-01-14W.  I notice that they are drilling the wells in a diagonal direction through the sections.  There is a well in section 17-7N-13W, section 7-7N-13W, skipped my section, but we have received letters to the effect that there will be one at some time, then they have the one in section 36-8N-14W.  I also see one across the lake from the Sepulvado Landing marina (but it had problems).  They are drilling in Texas across the lake also.
