I am leased to Chesapeake and they have drilled a well in my section. The serial number for my well is 240766. It is in S12-T16N-R14W in Caddo Parish. Sonrise hasnt been updated since 01/03/2011 at which time this is posted; "RIG UP COIL TUBING UNIT; COMPLETION OPS". Since I can tell that they are connected to their gathering system and am relatively sure that it is turned to sales, I called Chesapeake and requested info. The young lady was very polite and checked for data on the well. She then told me that it was indeed "turned to sales" as of 01/12/2011. Then she went on to tell me that "division orders" would be sent within 4 to 6 months. Is this timeline normal/ordinary or is there something I should/could do to expedite. It just seems like an inordinate amount of time for the company to delay and use money that should be being paid to the mineral owners leased to them. Any help or info will be appreciated.

But... as a leased mineral owner... they don't get to pay out the well out of my royalties... just their greed I think.

Does Petrohawk have a similar customer service office?

Thank you.

Has anyone had any experience with EOG. Well completed in early Dec and nothing yet.
My experience with EOG is well went into production in August 2010, and no DO yet.
It's on the Petrohawk website. You'll have to leave a message and it takes about a week for them to return the call, but they were very helpful.
Thank you!
I would like to add a spin to this question. CHK drilled and completed our well in October. Sonris just recently reported production number for the month of Dec. Nothing for October or November. So can I expect the DO 6 months from completion (October) or six months from production (December)?

Crunchy,

Most likely what you are seeing on SONRIS is the October production numbers that were reported in December. If you post the well serial number we might be able to clarify.

Work load on the Division Order Analysts is probably the reason for slow response.

Got the DO today in the mail. What timing. Of course it is wrong. I will be on the phone with CHK on Monday.

The mistake wouldn't by chance be in their favor would it?Funny how we never got a division order until we sent a demand letter, and of course it was wrong, in their favor of course.Ours was JW operating company. Now two years later it still hasn't been corrected after numerous phone calls.Time to call the lawyer.I think these operators have earned their reputation.
More puzzled than before. When I called Chesapeake on 2 different occassions I was told that well Serial# 240766 "began production" on January 12, 2011. Now that SONRISE has been updated it shows "01/17/2011 waiting on flowback" and then "01/26/2011 well potentialed". Am I just wrong in thinking that a well should have been flowback completed and potentialed before it was turned to sales. Any help appreciated.
