While you wait for Chesapeake to spud this well, learn to use the state oil & gas database, SONRIS Lite.  This is a very recent permit yet Chesapeake has a number of rigs drilling in the general area.  If you don't live close by, you'll likely know when the well spuds because it is announced here on GHS.  Some members have subscriptions to weekly rig reports that will indicate the rig has begun to drill before it appears on the database.  Use this link:

Hey Skip,

Though I have several family and friends that keep many of us family members up-to-date as to  what is going on with Chesapeake's activities, I like to gather as much information myself so that I can help them too.   :-)

Thank you so much for your advice!  I'll pass it on to them.

LN, here's a tip for using the database.  Perform a search for Wells By Section-Township-Range.  Enter the township and range but leave the section space blank.  This will pull up all wells in the township.  You can see the surrounding sections and where Chesapeake has wells.  Learn their operator number, C084, and look not only at your township but at 14N - 14W since your Section 24 is adjacent.  You can quickly scroll through all the sections surrounding yours.  The Haynesville Shale wells will be easy to distinguish based on their depth.  You can also go the Chesapeake's website and read or download their periodic presentations regarding their Haynesville related development.

Hey Skip,

Wow, my family will be so impressed with the information that I will be giving to them at our next Family Meeting.

Thank you again for all of your help.
