We received two notices of plans to unitize sections in T9N- R12W. One in November of 2007 for 16 units (9 were in T9N-R12W) and one in August 2008 for 25 units (6 were in T9N-R12W) for the purpose of drilling, production and exploration. The proposed units included sections 13,14,15, 16, 31, 32 (Aug 08) 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36 (Nov 07). See attached diagram. Does anyone have information on other sections in T9N-R12W that have been unitized (or proposed to be unitized)? If so, please share so we can see how much of the township has been unitized? To my knowledge that is 15 out of 36.

Across from Mr. Larry Steelman on Neel Lane and I think the land belongs to Mr. Ricky Evans. I don't know for sure but Cheasapeake will probably drill 17 and 20 from this pad. They have leases in both and have unitized both. My lease runs out May 6 in section 20 and someone else in section 17 said his lease is up in June. So I say drill baby drill!

Thanks for the info Richard.
Section 6 permitted March 15, # 242937...Frank Fox 6...SWEPI
Thanks Ken, I have updated the diagram.

Dixie, nice grid.  Just one small correction - the following well is permitted for Section 30 rather than Section 31.

Petrohawk, Hough 30 #H1 Well, Serial #241562, S31(30)-T9N-R12W

Thank you Les B, I have corrected that error.
Two new wells permitted in T9N-R12W. One in section 25 and one in section 21. this township has only  7 sections with no permitted  HS wells and one section not unitized yet, S33. Things are moving right along.
Brumley 8, (243365) now drilling in section 17 to section 8. At least 2 planned for each section. This brought to my attn. by Waltcop. Dixie, not many left out now!

Yes Ken, it looks like things are really moving on for 9N-12W. There is only one section that is not unitized and then only two without permitted wells. Section 3 has 11 permitted wells and Section 9 appears to have 13 permitted wells, if I am looking at this right. Seven of the wells in S9 have surface locations in that section and six of the wells will have the surface location in S16. Please correct me if I am wrong. I have updated the chart to reflect the changes.

Two wells in each section sounds like a good start to me.

Dixie, I believe there may be 14 wells in Section 9 including 6 with surface locations in Section 16.

Thank you Les B for the correction, I have added another mark  to include the missed well for S9. 14 wells in one section, wow! Do you know if this is the most wells permitted in any one section for the Haynesville Shale? I am not keeping up with DeSoto Parish and I am guessing there could be more per section there. After all,  DeSoto is the "sweet spot", with so much more activity than any other parish.

My relatives have land in S33 9n 12w and I know they are leased by Cheasapeake what is going on with this section 33 it is not unitized yet ? Is there a fault or is the older surface wells in this section like the Wetcher well keeping it from being unitized?
