Smith1 My understanding is that Louisiana has dropped their claim and things are moving on. I am now receiving royalties from Petrohawk although it had to be worked out by my lawyer, they did not want to give it up easily.
If any claim was "dropped", then it was on a specific tract or section, but not as a whole. I'm aware of the State issuing no claim letters to clarify where there is a dispute and where there is not, so it may still be up to each landowner to determine their status.
