Thanks!

You're welcome, dbob.  I'm waiting for a Lincoln Parish member to wander by and comment on the Wildhorse Nobles 13H alt-1.  I'll give them till tomorrow before I post it on their page.  That ought to get some action.  LOL!

To be honest I had noticed the first in Lincoln Parish and just scanned over the second.  Maybe there will be 17 rigs in Lincoln Parish

Wildhorse tends to fly under the radar as we have fewer members in Lincoln to keep us up.  And many in the parish lost interest when it became obvious that there was no Haynesville Shale.  N LA has a number of prospects percolating but I can't seem to get it across as so many are transfixed by the Brown Dense.  I'm sure the companies looking to lease in those areas appreciate that.  It's kind of a slight of hand trick.  While mineral owners are focused on the BD lessees are getting favorable terms on the shallower formations which are the actual target horizons.

should we assume that both the gas and liquids production numbers are not typos?   If those numbers are real, 17 rigs, indeed.  the location of the well is not included.  The disparity between the two Wildhorse wells is pretty dramatic.

I doubt they are typos. The salient fact to keep in mind is that the CV and LCV formations vary in porosity and permeability across relatively short distances.  In areas with sufficient porosity and permeability there is little or no commercial benefit to horizontal drilling.  In general horizontal wells are economic where vertical wells are not.  The two Wildhorse wells demonstrate the variability of the formation.  The Haynesville Shale has given the incorrect impression that any number of formations may be productive over a large area.  That is not true with the CV/LCV and other conventional horizons in N LA.  They may all exhibit high variance within the same general area.

The well is located in S12 - 19N - 4W.
