An article in avoyelles parish newspaper today

Good overview article. Things are heating up. Results and info will be slow in coming. Patience is encouraged.

I feel sure all the E&P companies building positions in the LA AC are appreciative of Kirk's news that EOG has paid a per acre bonus of $1500.  LOL!.

He must be done buying leases!

You could be right but it will not endear him to the energy companies that may wish to increase their leasehold in the near future.  If the initial wells are viewed as economic, the price per acre will increase without any help from Kirk.

He is not done buying leases. He is using a technique that I would call "Buying leases on the come". I got a call from a friend last week wanting my opinion on one of Kirk's deals out around Catahoula Lake in Rapides Parish. I told them if it were me that I would have to pass but that they would have to make up their own mind.

Catahoula Lake is somewhat of a surprise.  That's about as far NE as you can get in Rapides and still be in the parish.  That would be a welcome turn of events if the economic fairway extended that far.  That part of the state likely provides Kirk with plenty of folks willing to have a lease at most any terms.  Thanks, TD,P

Marathon finally let’s cat out the bag in earnings report.  Large lease block between rapides, Evangeline , and Avoyelles ..  Hope to see some action below the Shelf.

I wonder if this is the land torrent leased?
