We are just norh of you about2 or so miles. Also right beside you in section4!!! Ive said this before but we have a group that has grown to 5000 mineral acres. we are gonna hold out and see.
ok. so you're saying you are in section 4 in the same township and range? I don't understand about the group. Do I join and put my name on some list? I hate to sound so ignorant but what is the procedure. And who is the spokesperson for this group. And has he or she been approached by a landman yet?
yes The land that they are after right now is our land just north of that. We dont have a list, just a group of people getting together and trying to decide at what price we will settle for. if they want the whole group you know they will pay more. But we are not trying to take power away from anyone. Everyone is still on their own. But just good people getting together for the best we can get. Yes we are dealing with them now. They have come up in price but not far enough. As far as a spokesperson , I guess it would be one of my brothers, but im dealing with the landmen
Allen, do you live near Bradley or Lewisville? What company does the landman represent? Did they contact you personally? Am I asking too many questions? HA! Please keep me posted on all activity and current offers.
I live in Lewisville , close to your property up here. I have land in Bradley which is where im from. They are Border exploration and yes they contact me on a regular basis. At least once a week. We as a family have about 800 min. acres, the rest are a group of landowners that want to go-along with us. Im trying to find out who this company works for.
I have 4 or 5 forty acre tracts scattered around Lafayette that I share with several other people. Some I am not in touch with as I do not know them. Thanks for the info and please keep me updated on any activity and lease offers.
Do you have anything close to section30 t15 r24?
Allen, can you tell me where to go online to see a plat map that shows STR in Lafayette County? Since I don't know how the sections lay I don't know where S30 is. I have interests in sections 35 and 36 in T15, R24W. My 80 acres there was leased in 2006. Again, I think that area is north of Lewisville but don't know for sure.
Cant do it as far as I know. you will have to go to the local A.S.C.S. office, or call them & get them to mail you one.
Are my sections in 35 and 36 close to your sec30 in T15? Do I have to be right next to the other sections that have formed a large group to be a part of that group or can I have interests in any part of the county to be included?
Basically you need to be in the area they are looking at, which is from bradley to red river and about 3 miles from the louisiana line. Your land north of lewisville is about 5miles from me. I thought I knew all of the land owners in those sections though aparently not.
So it sounds like my S5 is in that area from Bradley to the red river and by the state line. I do not own any land, I share mineral rights with several other people. I know the names of the landowners - the tax accessors office gave them to me. The land north of Lewisville is owned by my cousin. What happens when someone you share mineral interests with wants to sign a lease at say, the first offer and you want to wait and hold out. Do all parties have to be in agreement on the $$$ amount at the time of signing? What happens when one person wants to wait for a better offer and the others don't?
