Anyone have any news about the Orchard Subdivision? We had fliers placed on our mailboxes months ago offering up to $500 per lot. I think some people signed then.

I will as soon as I get it. Thanks for your help. How many people (appr) live on Shadow Ridge? I have about 7 people in Shadow Ridge who have signed up so far.
I am on Joyner which is at the end of Jamerson. Haven't heard from anyone from Chesapeake in two years. You have only one person from Jamerson?
We have a little over 4 acres; from what I understand we are in Section 25, township 17N, Range 12W. We'd heard about another group from our neighborhood but were unable to make the meeting. I'm not sure if you're the same group or not - it was a lawyer/preacher heading it up who was asking for a relatively small fee, to be collected from the group as a whole. They met at a church on Sligo Road but there's more than one church on Sligo.

I cannot make Thursday night meetings as I work at night. How else can we get info?

Thanks.
Poor Musician,

Have you checked to see if your section is held by production. Try looking at http://sonris-www.dnr.state.la.us/www_root/sonris_portal_1.htm and see if you can determine the status of your section. From what I see, there is 12 identified wellheads in your section, most appear to be non-productive but I am not an expert in this field or even at understanding what all of their terms (codes) mean (e.g. "REVERTED TO SINGLE COMPLETION", "SHUT-IN PRODUCTIVE -FUTURE UTILITY" or "PA-35 TEMPORARY INACTIVE WELL TO BE OMITTED FROM PROD.REPORT").

If there hasn't been any production in the last ten years in your section, I would make a trip down (well, up) to the court house in Benton and see if I owned mineral rights.
Hi,

Yes I did look up my section on that web site and saw the same thing you did. I emailed the lady at the courthouse (info given on this site) but haven't received a reply. Of course, if the deed doesn't mention mineral rights (none of the papers we signed 12 years ago when we bought this property mentioned mineral rights) there's another department to go to (oil & gas) - their web site states that if you can't find your info on there, to go to your courthouse, or hire someone to investigate for you. (so it goes round and round)

My feeling is that we own them, or we wouldn't have been contacted two years ago by Chesapeake. Also, my neighbor across the street leased his mineral rights two years ago, and has additional land across the street he is negotiating. There have been neighborhood meetings but they've been in the evening when I couldn't attend.

I simply replied here because a recent comment stated that someone on Jamerson (my neighborhood) had joined up. I would like to join a group before we end up in forced pooling.
Poor Musician,

You can send your information to me @ titanium954@gmail.com and beav_52@netzero.com. We will add your information to our list and we can go from there. Make sure you include your contact information (address/phone), T/R/S, property dimensions in the e-mail.
I'm not sure if my husband signed up at the last meeting at south Bossier Baptist Church. I can help pass out fliers in Lucky Estates if you still need help.
My email is ntruelock@yahoo.com
coffee,

I just sent your e-mail address to a lady in Lucky Estates who has been helping us reach those in your neighborhood. Please let us know if you have any questions. I will make sure that I add your information to our database. Send me an e-mail (titanium954@gmail.com) with your contact information to include address and phone number and we will get back with you as soon as we can.
I was informed on Monday night that Mr. Provost and the group he gathered decided to put their acreage up for auction. Minimum bid was 22.5k and 25% royalties and 10% of the total bonuses paid will go to the auction house or company. I wonder how many from Shadow Ridge and surrounding area signed letters of intent for the auction and how many of those mineral owners asked to join this group?
I don't have an exact number, but quite a few Shadow Ridge residents put their acreage up for auction, including myself. We figured if we get $20,000 after the 10% was taken out, we were doing pretty good. If we don't get anything, than we didn't lose anything.

We also learned at the meeting that some oil companies are backing off right now. There were a couple of wells in Caddo that were dry, which may have caused the slow down. Again this is just hear say..........
Thanks for your response Terry,

I hadn't heard anything about any dry wells in Caddo nor have I seen anything in the news or on the web regarding this. Do you have any specifics regarding the location of these wells? I am sure there are many folks who would be interested in getting factual data to support this comment.
This was told to us at the meeting a couple of Fridays ago at the Provost's house. Again all this was hear say. Mr. Provost even commented that he had not comfirmed what he had heard.
Just wanted to give anyone a head's up who is still reviewing this post. We determined our basic agenda for the next meeting which will be held on the 4th of September @ the same location (exception will be that we will meet in the worship area of the main building) and time. More data to come soon.

Parker, if you are still keeping up with this post please send me an e-mail. I would really like the opportunity to speak with you prior.
