How are you calculating these numbers? I've researched extensively on the internet and I can't seem to find an equation that will allow you to calculate maximum flow through a choke.
BUMP! Any other opinions out there???? I wouldn't know if it's right or wrong, but it sounds great!
Isn't Jurassic Exp. the same who was fanning everything up with OilVoice .com postings being repeated over in the San Augustine county group? I am not sure who or what they are but they had everyone in that group looking for the end of the rainbow and it hasn't been found yet.
OK, I'm new to this, so y'all bear with me. If we live close to this Harvey well, say 2 miles as the bird flies, and it actually produces something, and assuming we've leased our mineral rights to Chesapeake already, do we get to participate in the "findings" automatically? Do we have to be located within that square of property that I found on the Railroad Commission site for Harvey #1? Since it is a horizontal drill, would it go beyond that square?

Finally, who at Chesapeake would I talk to about answers to these questions?
Jay Bee--on RRC Drilling premit usually there is a P-12 list of who and how many mineral acres make up the unit, but on this well Harvey #1H (515a total in unit) no list on premit. Recommend if you think minerals you leased to CHK maybe in the unit call royalty info line CHK office in Olk. Can look up phone # on line at chk.com and click on contact numbers of department you want in this case royalty or lease department. Or call their general # operator can direct you. Or email them with legal description of your lease.
Welcome Jay Bee,
Do you have any info concerning Harvey 1?
We live in Houston and don't get any info other than what we see on this site.
Is the well connected to the pipeline and if so is there any way to confirm the pressure and choke that was reported?
Please let us know if you can or if anyone else can please do so.
Jay Bee, you must live close to me! From what I hear there is one person who owns mineral's to the Harvey 1. Yes you do have to be in the unit. I keep hearing there will be other drilling in the area, so maybe we will be in one of those units.
I talked to Chesapeake, but the lady couldn't give me any details on the status of Harvey. What I did learn is that we are NOT in the division order for that tract. There are 5 parties who are. She said they have not "released anything" on it, whatever that means. So sorry I didn't learn any more than that.
Jay Bee --you learn what you need to know that you are not in the unit along with info everyone interested in well wants to know. I assume you have lease with CHK. They are tight lip about results of well as you learned and they do not have to release any data to the RRC for public to see for 90-120 days after the well flow to sales and there are some legal ways they can delay a little longer until RRC slaps there hands to report data. Royalty owners will receive division order within 90 days after production and be paid monthly and they will know status before general public unless CHK releases info to RRC. So in time we will all know. From what they said can assume well is on pipeline flowing
Has anyone heard if the Harvey well is actually a good well? Trying to get a feel for what the potential is for mineral owners in Shelby.
John, I wish we could get a current update on Harvey #1. Maybe ADUBU or JAY BEE have some recent information.
info still tight lip----but hear may not be good news. However CHK still leasing in the same survey of some small tracts missed, I leased a 1/2 acre I didnot know family had about two weeks ago. what this means ????
