Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover is looking for a way out of $1-an-acre mineral leases he calls a bad deal on the part of his predecessor, Mayor Keith Hightower.

Can you believe this guy? What makes the city of Shreveport any different than the other people that leased 5 years ago? I'm sure they want out of their lease as well!!

It appears that more often than not, government creates more problems than it solves. Witness the melt down. There's an uncanny ability to ignore red flags, or sweep them under the carpet until it's too late, then point fingers at everyone else.
"The mayor said he did not recall some legal documents that show his signature for Shreveport airports, parks and landfills."

Maybe a new strategy that could be used to get out of bad lease? bad mortgage? bad debt? traffic ticket? hmmmmm
