Hi. My family lives out of state and recently signed a lease for our property in Desoto for $8500 per acre, plus 1/4 royalty. The lease says the area is in Section 36, T11N-R12W. Does anyone know where this is and if it is a "hot" section?

You're south of Mansfield and just north of Pelican in the southeastern part of the parish. I believe its pretty safe to say all of DeSoto Parish is a "hot " section.
