Jeff, hello. Only very small offers have been made in that area. I've spoken with several folks in that area. There is one Cotten Vally Sand well near that area, but it isn't producing what the Haynesville Wells are.

There was a comment earlier that mentioned Encana didn't by the working share from Chesapeake on the Barrnette Shale. Shawn Allen spoke with EnCana's rep from Dallas, which it was confirmed.

Also, I see there is a new well going in next to the North Bossier water tower on Benton Rd. We are stopping by there today to check it out, get well numbers, company name, ect... Most of these wells take 4-6 weeks to complete, so I hope we get some great news from that well. We will find out if it is a Haynesville Well, or a Cotten Vally Sand well. Have a good day everyone.

Hello again. My subd. rcd its first letter from Red River yesterday for us to call them. I called and spoke with Mr. Howell (Red River) said they are wrapping up the "little land left" they have leased the "big land" all around us.......... Only offer is $8,500 25% 3yr. I told him you had better offers, and also that we had a CPA Lawyer in our subd. and he has put our acres with other groups also for the best offer.

I would imagine gas companies would love to lease and drill so close to a 42" pipeline. Dont fall for the "benton is on the fringe... take this lowball offer" mess.

Gulf Crossing is a pipeline company installing a pipeline parallel to another one. They're working in Claiborne Parish right now installing pipe. Those two pipelines are replacing a 36" pipe that's been in the ground since 1939. They're not related to what's going on with the HAShale.
