I have the opportunity to purchase a landowners royalties near Mansfield for $7000 per acrea. Does anyone have an oppinion? I don't know the exact location yet.

I think the land owner is not wise to sell and you are getting a heck of a bargain at $7,000.00 per acre given the industry reports regarding the Haynesville shale.
That's higher than what a lot of people are paying for royalties, but it would probably still be worthwhile. The percentage would also matter....
Kas N1, it might be worth it for you to purchase a 6 month option on those mineral rights for say 10K. You'll have six months to see exactly what the market will bear and this individual will put 10K in the bank. Might be a win win for everyone that way. Of course if its just five acres or so it wouldn't be worth it.
Buying outright at that price may or may not be a bargain, depending on location. It has not been long since $125. and acre would have been a good lease price in most of the state.
Do your homework.
You may be buying the Brooklin Bridge.
