Webster Parish around Lake Bisteneau

Has anybody been contacted about a lease around Lake Bisteneau in the Webster Parish area? I'm looking at buying some land around that area, but I wanted to find out what the prospects are of signing a lease in that area are.

You can buy all the land you want around there, but I bet you won't get any minerals to lease.

I am an O&G man, but I've been working in E. Texas right on the fringe of HS, and so I haven't been able to keep as close an eye on things as I would like.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
