Summary
Working gas in storage was 3,392 Bcf as of Friday, September 4, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 69 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 495 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 503 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,889 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 163 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 55 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 269 Bcf above the 5-year average of 830 Bcf after a net injection of 13 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 72 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 1 Bcf. At 3,392 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.

We have almost hit last years high, and still have at least two months of injections to come.
Okay, everyone start up their gas bar-b-q grills this evening. And make sure you hook them up to your home gas supply, not those silly little propane tanks. Leave them on all night, all day tomorrow and then all weekend. If everyone would participate, we could burn off this surplus in no time at all...okay, maybe a few years!! Go get some Holmes pecan-smoked beef & jalepeno sausge and get to grilling! The folks in the space station will see a nice orange glow and some smoke rising!
It's college & high school football season. Need to fire up all those bonfires with ng, too. lol

So why is the price of NG rising along with Natural Gas stocks? jhh
OPEC met today.

Also, we are several weeks away from the strike point.
