This application by Aethon in the Ashland Field, Bienville Parish, Township 14N, Range 7W.  There are HA units in 16N-8W, 15N-8W, 13N-8W, 13N-7W and 12N-8W but with the exception of 13N-7W (one well) all the others were drilled in the early year of the Play, 2010-2011.

I pointed this out to the SONRIS staff.  To my surprise, after thanking me for catching this, they sent an updated plat.  To my astonishment the unit application is for 35-14N-7W.  I'd find this approximate 12 eastward mile step out to be a mistake however Aethon has other HA units in 13N-7W, just no drilled wells.  I'll post a link to the correct application once it is enter in the database.

I'm still waiting for the corrected unit play to be entered in the database.  While waiting I performed some research regarding HA drilling and production units in the 8W and 7W townships.  There are more than I had covered in my tracking spreadsheet but that was due to no production.  Early in the play, 2018 into 2019,  operators had very limited well control (wells drilled to HA depths with modern electric logs) to have a clear idea of the extent and limits of the "economic" Haynesville Fairway.  They were in a rush to build leasehold and establish units.  It was incredibly competitive in the early months.  A number of Haynesville focused operating companies had already established leasehold footprints as they were Cotton Valley focused prior to the discovery that modern horizontal drilling and completion technology could make economic the Haynesville/Bossier shales.  Those companies formed many units that were never developed once initial unit wells provided some well control.  There are a number of undrilled HA units for example in north Caddo Parish.  The eastern edge of the proven fairway is similar.  It will be interesting to follow Aethon and see if they can move it further east.  That depends on economic well results.

Her is a link to the correct plat in the application.
