For the last several days I've been hearing (and feeling) an intermittent "boom". My neighbors hear it too and it scares the dogs.
This is in the Stonewall area around T15 R 14 and sections...18, 19,20 and maybe more.
Does anyone know if seismic testing is going on?

They are conducting seismic surveys. I believe the boom is from a truck with a "ground pounder" on it. I have property in Stonewall and have seismic equipment on the ground now. I live in Shreveport and have not heard the boom but would like to. My property is in 15n 14w sec 29.

The boom you are hearing is the explosive charge set off in an 80 ft. shot hole. They use "thumper trucks" in urban areas or where explosives are not allowed.

Section 17 15N 14W , (jest down the street from you LP)
