BOSSIER CITY, La. (AP) - Compressed natural gas and the "E-85" blend of ethanol and gasoline are available to Shreveport-Bossier area residents at a new fuel station.

The station, which cost Bossier City $2 million, includes four E85 pumps and four CNG pumps.

Bossier City will use the station to fuel four CNG-converted dump trucks and dozens of city vehicles that run on E85. The public can buy fuel at the station with credit or debit cards.

Several converted natural gas vehicles from area dealerships were parked around the station during the grand opening Wednesday, but it was a CNG-fueld motorcycle built for Chesapeake Energy that stole the show. The city says it plans to begin replacing old vehicles with CNG vehicles as needed, according to The Times of Shreveport.
