Crimson Exploration Conference Call-Haynesville Lime

I just listened to a replay of Crimson's earnings conference call and found it very interesting that they stated that over the Sabine Island area they believe it will be prospective for the Haynesville Lime. I know Devon had some big directional wells with early success in the lime over in Shelby county but have not heard much about it since. Also discussed was that the Haynesville Lime lies below the Haynesville and Bossier Shales. I guess one could infer that the Haynesville is not pinched out at least in part of Sabine county if it lies above a prospective formation. Thoughts on the potential of this as a target? Do they drill the H.Lime horizontally? If so what could that do to the recovery over a vertical? Is this something that is naturally fractured or do they have to manually fracture the rock?

The Haynesville Lime plays I am aware of are vertical completions, no need for horizontal drilling.

i am familiar with four haynesville lime wells in shelby county. they are all within a mile of each other. three of the four had exceptional ip rates for being verts. the forth had serious mechanial problems. two of these units have since been permitted with Horizontal wells. that's about all i know.

you know the ones, devon, xto... case, hughes, thomas, and i think the last one is adams. i havent looked at them in a while. same wells you and i discussed as possible pinnacle reef area.

kj--Yes---IMO these are Pinnacle Reef wells--the Noble 4 and Davis are in group-- couple have made 4bcf + in last one year. There are still flowing 10-15 mmcfd in some. The McSwain 7H ( about 1/2 mile East on above map) was the one messed up I understand it was a H shale and frac into the lime with the shale and was projected to be > 30 mmcfd well. The casing collasped and they lost the lateral so pull back and completed well as a vertical in the CV sands at about 2 mmcfd. Devon will re-drill it one day.
