Wanda, I don't know if you have had a chance to look at the site for the LA Dept. of Natural Resources (SONRIS) or not but that is where I checked and it has alot of info once you get on and surf around a little and get familiar with the site.

If you haven't used it much or at all, there is a link on this HS site to it. Go top the top of the main page and on the main tool bar locate INFO, under INFO click on SONRIS, that will pull up the state DNR site; on the left upper side of the site, click on SONRIS Lite, that will give you alot of options to pick from. A couple of the most useful ones are Permits listed by parish and wells listed by parish; you can enter your section, township, range and parish and pull up all the activity for a specified time period. Click on the well number and it will open that specific well info and you can see the updated activity. There are also interactive maps as The Baron mentioned that give an overview of any part of the parish you want to see.

If you were already familiar with this please excuse the explaination, I just wanted to mention it in case you weren't sure how or where to go.
There are several wells around you. Some havn't been drilled yet. look on SONRIS
I'm trying to log into the SONRIS Interactive Maps area and it's asking for a Login Name and Password -- can you point me in the right direction here? How do I sign up or do you know of a combination I can use in the meantime?

Thanks,
W
Willmac, it just means the system is down for maintenance. If you try again at a different time it should let you in.
