Fannin County

Charter Oak Production will drill the Gibbs Well No. 1 to 11,750 feet 5.1 miles northwest of Telephone in a wildcat field in the F.G. Sadler Survey, A-980.

Freestone County

XTO Energy will drill the Clarke Gas Unit Well No. 28 to 12,800 feet 5.4 miles southeast of Teague in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field and the Fails Gas Unit Well No. 29 to 13,500 feet 6.5 miles south of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field.

  The No. 28 is in the J. Lawrence Survey, A-364.

  The No. 29 is 6.5 miles south of Teague in the J.L. Chavert Survey, A-10.

There will be two wells drilled by XTO Energy in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field.

  The Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 37 will hit 12,600 feet five miles southeast of Teague in the J. Lawrence Survey, A-364.

  The Irvin Gas Unit Well No. 18 will hit 11,300 feet 3.6 miles southeast of Teague in the J. Strickland Survey, A-551.

The Eppes Unit Well No. 7 will be drilled by XTO Energy in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well is .4 miles northeast of Donie in the N. Peck Survey, A-820 and will hit 14,800 feet. The well may be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit or Travis Peak) Fields

Gregg County

The Protho Well No. 1R will be drilled to 4,000 feet .3 miles south of Kilgore in the East Texas Field by Miken Oil in the M. Van Winkle Survey, A-208.

Harrison County

In a lease 6.9 miles east of Marshall in a wildcat field, the Bennett Well No. 2 will be drilled by GMX Resources to 14,500 feet in the C. Taylor Survey, A-700.

The well may be drilled in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or the North Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field.

NFR Energy will drill the Dinkle Well No. 12H to 11,166 feet four miles southwest of Marshall in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is in the J.W. Britain Survey, A-78.

Houston County

A wildcat field will see Burk Royalty drill the Bray Well No. 1 to 13,000 feet 4.5 miles southwest of Lovelady in the F. Perez Survey, A-63.

This well may be drilled in the Fort Trinidad (Edwards, Buda or Glen Rose) Fields or the East Fort Trinidad (Georgetown, Buda) Fields

The Marty Hyde Well No. 1 will be drilled to 12,500 feet 13.1 miles southwest of Lovelady in a wildcat field by Navidad Resources. This well is in the C. Richards Survey, A-866.

Burk Royalty will drill the Verna Well No. 1 to 13,000 feet 1.5 miles east of Lovelady in a wildcat field. This well is in the J.J. Thomas Survey, A-84 and may be drilled in the East Fort Trinidad (Buda or Georgetown) Fields, the Fort Trinidad (Glen Rose, Edwards and Buda) Fields.

Johnson County

XTO Energy will drill two wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. The wells will hit 12,000 feet in the J.F. Salas Survey, A-760.

The Lewis Unit Well No. D 7H and the Lewis Unit Well No. D 8H are five miles northwest of Alvarado.

Quicksilver Resources will drill the Charca Hanger Unit Well No. 2H to 9,000 feet 3.6 miles southwest of Godley in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field in the W. Richey Survey, A-1010.

Devon Energy will drill five wells in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field to 9,000 feet.

  The Whitehead-Trulove (SA) Well No. 1H, the Whitehead-Trulove (SA) Well No. 2H the Whitehead-Trulove (SA) Well No. 3H are 14.7 miles northeast of Cleburne in the W. Hickman Survey, A-327.

  The Whitehead-Trulove (SA) Well No. 4H and the Whitehead-Trulove (SA) Well No. 5H are 14.3 miles northeast of Cleburne in the W. Hickman Survey, A-327.

Leon County

The Lewis "B" Well No. 23 will hit 15,000 feet 7.2 miles west of Jewett in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field by Valence Operating in the M.C. Rejon Survey, A-19. This well may be drilled in the Southeast Farrar (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.

EnCana Oil & Gas will drill the Gresham Trust Well No. 1H to 15,500 feet 5.9 miles west of Centerville in a wildcat field. This well is in the J.M. Hallmark Survey, A-339.

In a lease 5.2 miles northwest of Jewett in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the McAshan Gas Unit Well No. 6 will be drilled to 14,200 feet 5.2 miles northwest of Jewett by XTO Energy. This well may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak or Pettit) Fields.

Limestone County

XTO Energy will drill the the Gilliam "B" No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 23 to 13,400 feet 12.8 miles northeast of Groesbeck in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well is in the J.L. Chavert Survey, A-4.

The Farrar (Cotton Valey Lime) Field will see the Carpenter Gas Unit II Well No. 16 drilled by XTO Energy to 15,000 feet 4.2 miles southwest of Farrar in the M.C. Rejon Survey, A-26. It may be drilled in the Southeast Farrar (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.

The Holmes Gas Unit No. II Well No. 7 and the Richard H. Gross, Et Al Well No. 25 will be drilled by XTO Energy.

  The No. 7 will hit 15,400 feet 11 miles northeast of Marquez in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well is in the M.C. Rejon Survey, A-26 and may be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak or Pettit) Fields

  The No. 25 will hit 13,600 feet 8.9 miles southwest of Donie in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well is in the J.L. Chavert Survey, A-4.

Nacogdoches County

The Nacogdoches Field will see the Chireno Nacogdoches SWD Well No. 1 drilled by Chireno Disposal to 6,700 feet 15.5 miles southeast of Nacogdoches. The well is in the J.M. Mora Survey, A-827.

EOG Resources will drill the Wilma Jean Unit Well No. 1H in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. This well will hit 14,200 feet 1.5 miles northwest of Woden in the J.M. Mora Survey, A-827.

The Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field will see the Chapel Well No. 1H drilled by Goodrich Petroleum to 19,500 feet 19.6 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the J. Cole Survey, A-137.

In a lease five miles southwest of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, the Gomez SU C Well No. 1H will be drilled by Exco Operating to15,000 feet in the J. Gomez Survey, A-227.

Navarro County

The Kilcrease Well No. 1 will hit 4,600 feet five miles southeast of Kerens in a wildcat field. This well will be drilled by Dallas Production in the J.J. Thomas Survey, A-808.

Panola County

Anadarko E&P will drill the Frost Lumber Ind Inc. Unit Well No. 4H to 12,000 feet 9.8 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. This well is in the J. Strickland Survey, A-820.

The Werner-Micher Well No. 8H will hit 13,500 feet 3.7 miles northwest of Joaquin in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. Classic Operating will drill this well in the M. Carpenter Survey, A-921.

Classic Operating will drill two wells.

  In a lease three miles north of Joaquin in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, the Frost-Tenaha Gas Unit Well No. 3H will hit 16,200 feet in the D. Thompson Survey, A-685.

  In a lease three miles west of Joaquin in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the David Dunham Well No. 3H will hit 15,400 feet in the C.Q. Haley Survey, A-274.

XTO Energy will drill the Pec Minerals Gas Unit 4 Well No. 2H to 17,000 feet 11.1 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field. The well is in the H. Anderson Survey, A-3.

Sabine County

The Highroller Sabine SWD Well No. 1 will be drilled to 5,600 feet .5 miles west of Milam in the Hemphill (Saratoga-Annona) Field. High Roller Wells will drill this well to 5,600 feet in the J. Smith Survey, A-54.

San Augustine County

In a lease six miles northeast of Chireno in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field, the Watson SU Well No. 1H will be drilled by Exco Operating to 15,000 feet in the H.E. Watson Survey, A-368.

High Roller Wells will drill the Highroller SWD Well No. 5 to 7,700 feet 3.5 miles south of San Augustine in the Pine Grove (Cotton Valley Lime "B" Lime) field. This well is in the S. Stedham Survey, A-252.

Shelby County

The Midshipmen DU Well No. 1H and the Congo Well No. 1H will be drilled in the Carthage (Haynesville Shale) Field by XTO Energy.

  The Midshipmen DU Well No. 1H will hit 19,600 feet 10.3 miles southeast of Shelbyville in the N. Davis Survey, A-147.

  The Congo Well No. 1H will hit 19,800 feet 11.1 miles northeast of Shelbyville in the E. Ritter Survey, A-584.

Tarrant County

XTO Energy will drill the Fleet Unit Well No. 6H to 12,000 feet 3.1 miles southwest of Everman in the East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field. This well is in the H. Little Survey, A-930.

The East Newark (Barnett Shale) Field will see Chesapeake Operating drill 15 wells to 9,000 feet.

  The BMX Cook Unit Well No. 3H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the T. Akers Survey, A-25.

  The Rock Creek Well No. D 7H will is 13.4 miles southwest of Fort Worth in the J.J. Albirado Survey, A-4.

  The Joe Pool Gee Unit Well No. 2H and the Joe Pool Gee Unit Well No. 4H are 3.8 miles north of Britton in the J.C. Armstrong Survey, A-43.

  The Westwind Unit Tar Well No. 1H is within the city limits of Fort Worth in the Covington, Hrs. H Survey, A-256.

  The White C Well No. 2H is within the city limits of Arlington in the W.W. Warnell Survey, A-1612.

  The Forks Well No. 1H is 6.3 miles southeast of Arlington in the J. Balch Survey, A-83.

The McKnight Gas Unit 1 Well No. 9 will be drilled to 12,000 feet 5.7 miles northwest of Gilmer in the Rosewood (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will be drilled by Verado Energy in the W. McFadden Survey, A-295.

Van Zandt County

The C.L. York Well No. 7 will hit 1,400 feet 2.6 miles northeast of Van in the Van (Shallow) Field in the W. Daniel Survey, A-196 by SDG Operating.

Wood County

The Mary Lou Foster Well No. 2 will hit 8,500 feet 3.9 miles northeast of Yantis in the Yantis (Hill Zone) Field. Valence Operating will drill this well in the J. Walker Survey, A-607. It may be drilled in the Yantis (Rodessa or Heard Zone) Fields.

The Campbell Well No. 3H was completed by Chesapeake Operating to 14,093 feet 4.5 miles southwest of Grand Prairie in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 5.575 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

Ellis County

The East Newark Field has seen Chesapeake Operating complete the Atherton Murphy Well No. D3H, No. D4H and No. D9H within the city limits of Grand Prairie.

  The No. D3H hit 13,033 feet and potentialed 3.088 millon cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.

  The No. D4H hit 13,070 feet and potentialed 3.289 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.

  The No. D9H hit 12,344 feet and potentialed 3.680 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Freestone County

The W.H. Dal, Et Al Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 10H hit 14,175 feet 1.5 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Teague Field. XTO Energy completed this well in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated.

Harrison County

Devon Energy completed the Taylor "A"-Taylor (Allocation) Well No. 23H to 16,674 feet three miles southwest of Waskom in the Carthage Field. On an 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 5.133 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

GMX Resources completed the Baldwin-Mia Austin (Allocation) Well No. 1H to 18,104 feet 10.9 miles southeast of Marshall in the Carthage Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 6.486 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Henderson County

The Hudnall-Meyers Well No. 1 is eight miles southeast of Brownsboro in the Martha Jo Field. Randall Exploration completed the well to 10,960 feet. This well flowed with four barrels of crude, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Travis Peak.

Jasper County

The Rayburn Oil Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 is 15.8 miles northwest of Jasper in the Brookeland Field. Radius Operating completed this well to 13,167 feet. On a 64/64-inch choke the well flowed with 23 barrels of crude. Production is in the Austin Chalk, 8800 formation.

Johnson County

The East Newark Field has seen Chesapeake Operating complete three wells.

  The Little Hoss 7 Well No. B1H hit 10,272 feet 14.3 miles northwest of Cleburne. On a 1-inch choke the well potentialed 1.648 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Little Hoss 7 Well No. H 2H hit 10,522 feet 14.1 miles northwest of Cleburne. On a .75-inch choke the well potentialed 2.180 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Cordelia Well No. 9H hit 10,415 feet 9.2 miles north of Cleburne and potentialed 1.730 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The East Newark Field has seen EOG Resources complete two wells.

  The Beasley Unit Well No. 3H hit 11,413 feet 2.5 miles northwest of Godley and potentialed 1.953 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.

  The Southard Farms (PSA) Well No. 8H hit 10,570 feet five miles northwest of Joshua and potentialed 3.747 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

XTO Energy completed the Dixon Unit Well No. 3H, the Dixon Unit Well No. 4H and the Dixon Unit Well No. 5H in the East Newark Field. The wells are 5.4 miles northwest of Alvarado.

  The No. 2H hit 9,819 feet and on a 26/48-inch choke potentialed 3.095 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 4H hit 9,863 feet and on a 21/48-inch choke potentiated 2.867 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 5H hit 10,058 feet and on a 25/48-inch choke potentiald 2.843 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The Cathy Ann Tindall Well No. 4H is 10.12 miles northeast of Cleburne and hit 12,540 feet drilled by Devon Energy in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 3.791 million cubic feet of gas on an open choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Leon County

EnCana Oil & Gas completed the Little 4 Ranch-State Unit Well No. 1 to 18,151 feet 3.9 miles northwest of Wealthy in the Hilltop Resort Field. On an 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3.559 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier.

In a lease 7.3 miles southeast to Normangee in the Hilltop Resort, the Gastar Wildman Trust Unit No. 3 Well No. 6H was completed by Gastar Exploration to 13,171 feet. The well flowed with 77 barrels of crude on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Glen Rose 8498.

 

Limestone County

XTO Energy completed the Gibson Well No. 1 to 13,500 feet 15.4 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Farrar Field. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 266,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.

Nacogdoches County

The John Tubbe Well No. 1 is 9.4 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Black Bayou Field. Valence Operating completed this well to 11,024 feet. On a 18/64-inch choke the well potentialed 566,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit.

EOG Resources completed the Clayton Et Al Unit Well No. 1H and the Stanaland Trust Unit Well No. 1H in the Carthage Field.

The Clayton Et Al Unit Well No. 1H hit 19,127 feet 4.9 miles northeast of Woden. On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 8.843 million cubic feet of gas.

The Stanaland Trust Unit Well No. 1H hit 19,470 feet 6.1 miles southwest of Nacogdoches. On a 17/64-inch choke the well potentialed 11.476 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Panola County

Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 33 Well No. 14 to 9,732 feet .98 miles northeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.134 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

The Panola Development Company Well No. 5 was completed by Glassell Producing to 9,850 feet eight miles northeast of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentilaed 812,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.

Robertson County

XTO Energy completed the Lutz Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 to 13,305 feet 5.8 miles northwest of Franklin in the Bald Prairie Field. This well potentialed 65,000 cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

Rusk County

Valence Operating completed the Bath Unit Well No. 1 to 10,600 feet in the Oak Hill Field. On a 20/64-inch choke the well potentialed 370,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Travis Peak.

The East Henderson Field has seen the Galan White Gas Unit Well No. 6C completed to 12,050 feet 5.8 miles northwest of Henderson by Forest Oil. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 214,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley.

M.E. Operating & Services completed the Rice Well No. 2 to 6,618 feet 9.2 miles southeast of Henderson in the Naconiche Creek Field. On a 14/64-inch choke the well potentialed 126,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated.

Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Trawick Gas Unit 57 Well No. 103 to 9,005 feet 6.1 miles northeast of Cushing in the Trawick Field. On a 28/64-inch choke the well potentialed 960,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Pettit-Travis Peak Consolidated.

San Augustine County

The Sunrise Gas Unit Well No. 1H hit 18,608 feet 3.4 miles southeast of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. On a 18/64-inch choke this well potentialed 12.164 million cubic feet of gas.

EOG Resources completed this well in the Haynesville Shale.

Crimson Exploration completed the Kodiak Well No. 1H to 18,352 feet 2.9 miles south of San Augustine in the Carthage Field. On a 15/64-inch choke the well potentialed 8.815 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

On a 20/64-inch choke the Holloway SU Well No. 2H potentialed 21.734 million cubic feet of gas. This well was completed by Exco Operating to 19,370 feet six miles northeast of Chireno in the Haynesville Shale.

Shelby County

XTO Energy completed the Hawkeyes DU Well No. 1H to 17,716 feet 8.7 miles south of Center in the Carthage Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 7.110 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

XTO Energy completed the Cyclones DU Well No. 1H to 18,864 feet 8.7 miles south of Center. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 6.550 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.

Chesapeake Operating completed the Samford Well No. 1H to 16,568 feet 3.8 miles south of Center in the Carthage Field. On a 16/64-inch choke the well potentialed 9.553 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville Shale.

The Badgers DU Well No. 1HB was completed to 18,938 feet 3.6 miles southwest of Shelbyville in the Carthage Field by XTO Energy. This well potentialed 4.829 million cubic feet of gas on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Haynesville Shale.

Smith County

Griffin Operating completed the Mary Lou Manson Well No. 1 in the Winona Field. This well is four miles northwest of Winona and hit 8,000 feet. The well flowed with 150 barrels of crude, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Paluxy A formation.

Tarrant County

The Amon G Carter Unit Well No. 1H hit 12,238 feet 2.4 miles west of Saginaw in the East Newark Field. On a 64/64-inch choke the well potentialed 2.969 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Chesapeake Operating completed 11 wells in the East Newark Field.

  The Greenbriar Well No. 1H hit 12,488 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and on a .75-inch choke, the well potentialed 4.151 million cubic feet of gas.

  The Karmali Well No. 1H hit 12,763 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.707 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Ridglea South Well No. 1H hit 9,750 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 4.895 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Snow Well No. 1H hit 9,829 feet within the city limits of Haltom City and potentialed 3.145 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Pappajohn Well No. 2H hit 11,308 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 4.198 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Lazy Unit Well No. 1H hit 11,810 feet 22 miles northeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 512,000 cubic feet of gas.

  The McCullar Well No. 4H hit 11,680 feet within the city limits of Haltom City and potentialed 4.034 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Newell Well No. 4H hit 10,755 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 2.469 million cubic feet of gas on a 1-inch choke.

  The Stockyards Unit Well No. 2H hit 12,580 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 2.815 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Gateway Gibson Well No. 1H hit 13,026 feet 22 miles northeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.400 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke.

  The Gateway Gibson Well No. 2H hit 12,521 feet 22 miles northeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.039 million cubic feet of gas on a .75-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

  The Rowan B Unit Well No. 2H hit 10,632 feet 2.3 miles west of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.861 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.

  The Sweet Addis Unit Well No. 3H hit 9,925 feet 9.3 miles southeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 4.448 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

  The Sweet Addis Unit Well No. 4H hit 10,388 feet 9.3 miles southeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 4.07 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

  The Windrush Unit Well No. 6H hit 9,777 feet within the city limits of Fort Worth and potentialed 3.417 million cubic feet of gas on a 64/64-inch choke.

  The Sweet Addis Unit Well No. 2H hit 9,721 feet 9.3 miles southeast of Fort Worth and potentialed 5.053 million cubic feet of gas on a 28/64-inch choke.

  The Tran Unit Well No. 4H hit 11,228 feet 1.9 miles southeast of Kennedale and potentialed 3.035 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke.

  The West Fork Unit Well No. 3H hit 9,298 feet 6.6 miles northwest of Saginaw and potentialed 1.329 million cubic feet of gas on a 38/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Vantage Fort Worth Energy completed the Steeples Well No. 2H in the East Newark Field. This well hit 11,457 feet within the city limits of Arlington. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 4.798 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

The Hencken Unit "A" Fed Well No. 3H, the Hencken Unit "A" Fed Well No. 5H and the Hencken Unit "A" Fed Well No. 6H were completed in the East Newark Field 1.8 miles south of Fort Worth by Devon Energy.

  The No. 3H hit 13,118 feet and on an open choke size potentialed 4.221 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 5H hit 14,003 feet and on an open choke potentialed 4.783 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 6H hit 14,016 feet and on an open choke potentialed 3.143 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

On a 64/64-inch choke the Virginia Richardson Unit Well No. 4H potentialed 1.100 million cubic feet of gas. This well was completed by EnCana Oil & Gas to 9,200 feet 4.9 miles southwest of Benbrook. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Devon Energy completed the Barbara Hencken Well No. 1 and the Hencken Unit "A" Fed Well No. 7H in the East Newark Field.

  The No. hit 8,390 feet 14 miles southwest of Fort Worth. On an open choke the well potentialed 2.537 million cubic feet of gas.

  The No. 7H hit 12,619 feet 1.85 miles south of Fort Worth and on an open choke potentialed 4.030 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Vantage Fort Worth Energy completed the Steeples Well No. 5H to 11,097 feet within the city limits of Arlington in the East Newark Field. This well potentialed 6.303 million cubic feet of gas on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Barnett Shale.

Upshur County

Apache Corp completed the H.S. Loyd Gas Unit 1 Well No. 1 to 11,898 feet one mile from Gilmer in the Gilmer Field. On a 48/64-inch choke the well potentialed 3,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Bossier Sand.
