On 01-24-11 I received a certified letter and a phone call from Enbridge regarding construction of a new 16" pipeline on my property (off FM 138 and off CR 1520 in Shelby County).
On 01-28-11 I met the Enbridge represenative on my land to discuss this issue, only to find Enbridge had already surveyed my land for 6+ acres for 3 hydro units. The Enbridge rep said he knew the letter was in error (no one from Enbridge has bothered to correct this error or discuss it with me) and that Enbridge Pipeline ALWAYS enters land and surveys it if they are interested in constructing anything (pipeline, hydro, compressors, etc).
I gave Enbridge my $ figure and was told they would be back in touch the following week. As of today, no one from Enbridge has contacted me regarding this issue.
Anyone know anything about the 3 new hydro units Enbridge wants to build? What about Enbridge entering and surveying on my land without permission?

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
