Flex Fuel is a vehicle that runs on both standard blended gasoline (up to 10% ethanol) AND E85 (85% ethanol).
For now ethanol is highly subsidized by Uncle Sam. Bossier City sells E85 for about $1.85/ gallon. You do get less mpg, but at that cost it could make sense. ethanol has a few downsides; fuel from food, corrosion problems, water absorbtion, etc.
