There is a made for TV movie starting at 8:00 p.m. on KSLA Channel 12 named Front of the Class. It was filmed entirely in Shreveport/Bossier and the main school used was Creswell Elementary.

I know that this has nothing to do with oil and gas but thought some might like to take a peek.

Okay, it seems not entirely filmed in Shreveport, some in Atlanta. I got to see some of it being filmed and my son was an extra in some scenes along with many other kids from Calvary.
Darn, i missed it...the one night I couldn't stay awake...it starts at 9 pm here...Went to Alexander Elem myself, on school bus, but Creswell wasn't far away.
The movie was about a man growing up and teaching in Georgia but most of it was filmed here. They showed a lot of Byrd High School, even though it was named something else for the movie. My wife and I watched it Sunday evening. It's a tear jerker and an excellent movie. Wonderful acting and a great story of personal hardship. It should be required watching in every public school in the country. Perhaps if it was watched, it would possibly alleviate some of the intentional and unintentional meanness in the school systems by our youth.
