Attached is a township-range grid for Louisiana that shows the number of Haynesville Units for each township that contain at least one drilled and/or permitted Haynesville Shale well.

Each grid box contains three numbers. The first number is the total number of Haynesville Units for that township. The second number is the number of those Haynesville Units that have at least one permitted Haynesville Shale well while the third value represents the remaining Haynesville Shale units with no permitted well.

For example T15N-R14W contains the value "34/30/4". This would mean that 34 sections in that township have Haynesville Units with 30 of those units containing at least one well. The remaining 4 Haynesville Units do not have a permitted Haynesville Shale well.

I have also attached the three individual grids with shading to indicate higher levels of activity. Note that 15 townships have been fully unitized for the Haynesville Zone.

Les,

Nice work, thanks for sharing.
Good info, much appreciated. Thanks Les!
In 15w 17n, the grid shows 11 wells. Are those all Haynesville shale wells?
On the gis map, I only see 6..
PG, scratch one reducing the count to 10 wells as one permit had expired. The Haynesville Shale wells are shown below:

Petrohawk, Lee 6 #H1 Well, Serial #240611, S6-T17N-R15W, Caddo Parish, 6576 Mcfd, 14/64" Choke, 7506 psi Flowing Pressure
Samson, Mayfield 9 #H1 Well, Serial #241542, S9-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, LCD&S 14 #H1 Well, Serial #242253, S23(14)-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, Rice 17 #H1 Well, Serial #242166, S20(17)-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, Gayle 20 #H1 Well, Serial #242199, S20-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, LCD&S 23 #H1 Well, Serial #241858, S23-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, CHC 27 #H1 Well, Serial #242239, S27-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, Tucker 32 #H1 Well, Serial #240406, S32-T17N-R15W, Caddo Parish, 11591 Mcfd, 22/64" Choke, 5942 psi Flowing Pressure
Chesapeake, CHC 34 #H1 Well, Serial #242165, S27(34)-T17N-R15W
Chesapeake, Morris 35 #H1 Well, Serial #241786, S35-T17N-R15W
Okay I see. Looks like they are drilling 2 sections from one pad on 3 of those.
How do those wells rank with wells to the south?
PG, the two wells look similar to those in T16N-R15W but there does appear to be a slight decline in formation quality as you go north.
What's the significance if our land is in one of the sections shaded purple?
Why are there no wells in 17N 14W ? Is this a Dead Zone ??
SB, I believe this is the Shreveport metropolitan area where it is difficult to site a drilling pad.
JNP, the colors just highlight townships with 30-35 or 36 Haynesville Units.
Les,

Thank you for all your work and sharing it with us!
Les in township 17N-10W you show 21 units on sonris GIS map there are only 13 where did you get the information on the other 8 units. Thanks for the work great way to keep up.
