The farthest north that we know for a fact is in the Pine Island Field, the well is just south of Caddo Lake. This is where some of the thickest sections of shale have been logged as well.
I am new here. Thickest = good? What sec.t. r is this...what about bossier parish too?
Fngrsxnpd, the following Matador well in Caddo Parish logged 256' of net Haynesville Shale thickness:

Matador, Hall 5 #H1 Well, Serial #237687, S5-T19N-R15W
I am in T18N R15W. Apparently the shale ends 1 foot before it gets to me!!!
Fngrsxnpd, Southern Star drilled the following well in the Sentell Field in Bossier Parish that logged 312' of net Haynesville Shale thickness (good!):

Southern Star, AS Burt 20 #1 Well, Serial #238938, S20-T19N-R13W
Les,

Do I understand correctly that no horizontal wells have been drilled this far north?
Ok, I am in t 22n, in your opinions, do you think it will reach to me...I have heard so much negative, however, the more I listen it seems that it is getting closer. At one time I was told it did not extend past t 16n in bossier parish.
Parker, I am not aware of any yet in Bossier Parish but I am sure they are coming.
Yippie, I sure hope so...now if they would just move a bit north I would be soooo happy! THanks for your help.
Thanks, that sounds great.....

Cathaus, I understand your frustration..I am in 22n, guess it will never get to me.
And there is nothing worse than a frustrated OLD woman such as myself!!!
Yeah, I know the feeling. But does it sound like things are moving a little farther north to you? I was approached to lease when all of this started last year, bad offer, since then nothing....maybe I should have taken the bad offer. If you are in 18n and this other well....is in 19 north, what is the problem...
