Royalty Acres

I know this has been covered like a million times on here but I still cant grasp it!
I have the opportunity to but 7.5 royalty acres in a very hot spot of haynesville. Can anyone give me an idea of how to calculate a royalty payment at this point there is one well, so i can use those figures. I just need to know Can I plug it into a royalty calculator even if its royalty acres and not mineral acres?

No in fact I find it very interesting, they didn't even go to the total depth. It almost seems like they found what they wanted, or didn't want to know. Looks like they made no effort whatsoever to complete the well in any formation. Just drilled it like a bat out of hell and now are hell bent to plug it. It just seems pretty weird to me.

It doesn't mean much to me, I can promise you all they wanted was to log the well and evaluate the haynesville formation. Now if they found a shale zone the last thing in the world they would do would be release the information. So I can't say one way or the other.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
