I also would like to find out more about the James Rowe Survey when

somebody hears something.  I have heard absolutely nothing.

Hello, My name is Lisa Jeanette. Several years ago Brent Dance tracked my family down to fill out heirship papers. I did and never heard from him. He was with xto. Robert and Bula (Beaula) Goodwynn were my great-great grandparents from Shelbyville and center Tx. I have been trying to find kinship with very little luck.

Do not know where or what I do now. Who do i contact regarding Lout and Goodwynn.

Thank-you for any info. Lisa Jeanette

There are no new permits in Goodwyn, A-256.  You can find the status of the two existing XTO horizontal wells, Mean Green DU #1H & Demon Deacons DU #1H, here.

In James Rowe, A-585, XTO has submitted completion reports on three (vertical or directional) wells drilled by Southwestern:

  Wynne Trust H #1, 0.410 Mcfd, 18/64, 990# FP

Risinger J GU #1, 0.557 Mcfd, 18/64, 1000# FP

Risinger P GU #1, 0.211 Mcfd, 20/64, 990# FP

There is still no report on Haley G #1.

Hi - we have mineral interests in the Wynne Trust but haven't gotten any info on whether or not they are going to start production of if it's going to be a shut in. Do you know anything about this? Also, have you heard how much money is currently being offered for a new lease in Shelby county? I would think that XTO can offer more $ than Southwestern, but I'm just guessing.

How long would it be until XTO notifies mineral rights holders that they

have submitted completion reports? Not quite sure of the process.

I've only had experience with Southwestern Energy. We had to research everything ourselves; they didn't notifiy us of completions. They asked my family for an affidavit of heirship and we provided that. We got interest checks before they sent us division orders. I had heard that division orders came first. But that wasn't the case with us. Now, XTO has taken over 2 of the wells that we have interest in in the James Rowe survey. Not sure how they'll operate.

Mel,  unless it is key to their acreage, I would suspect the bonus offer will tend to be lower than historic values.  And if you are in the north or northwest part of the county, it will tend to be a long time in comming.

dbob - are you saying that leasing has slowed a lot in East Texas? I haven't really kept up in a few months.
There has actually been quite a bit of recent leasing in NW Shelby county.  I believe this is related to the horizontal CV wells in southern Panola county, some of which are producing both significant gas and liquids.

I have had with both and the Affidavit of Heirship. I had what they needed, but mine was a copy and we had to have a new one. Two land men/different companies wanted the same thing. We also have gotten interest checks like you and in one instance a Division Order first.  Guess we will have to wait and see.

We have had experience with both also. Had my own research, but did have to get the Affidavit of Heirship. i was told to call this lady with XTO;I did and she never returned my call. She is aware of the Affidavit of Heirship though.

You're right, guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I have heard that with natural gas prices so low some of the wells are being shut in. I am anxious to see if the Wynne Trust is going to produce now instead of later.
