Tracy, the Lazard Family well was spud on April 23 and reported as Waiting On Another Rig May 30.  Petrohawk has a history in the Haynesville Shale play of utilizing "spudder rigs" to drill to a depth sufficient to set surface casing and then plugging the well until a larger, more powerful top drive rig is available to drill the well to Total Depth (TD).  Petrohawk is down to 5 or fewer of those larger rigs in NW LA and that may be the reason for the delay.  I'll keep an eye on the weekly rig report and let you know when drilling commences again.

Skip, thankyou so much you are always so helpful and it is greatly appreciated!!!
Skip, just wondering if you had heard anything on Lazard well 1/ 11N / 12W no change on Sonris. Still waiting on Petrohawk.

Tracy, no new developments as far as I am aware.  The existing well permit is effective until March 8, 2013.

Thx for the info !

Skip, I forgot to ask you a very important question; if the permit runs out on March 8 2013.How long will it take them to get a new one, and what does this indicate? Is it a good indication they will leave the well incomplete? These are questions my family members asked me that I could not answer. Once again thanks for your help!!

Tracy, permits expire all the time.  It's a simple procedure to apply for a new one.  The more important question is, when does Petrohawk's lease rights expire?  The area is proven productive.  There could be any number of reasons such as Petrohawk holding top leases on some existing Chesapeake leases. Too many possible scenarios to choose one.  I suggest that you contact Petrohawk and ask if you have not already done so.

Thanks Skip will do !
