Tracy, the Lazard Family well was spud on April 23 and reported as Waiting On Another Rig May 30. Petrohawk has a history in the Haynesville Shale play of utilizing "spudder rigs" to drill to a depth sufficient to set surface casing and then plugging the well until a larger, more powerful top drive rig is available to drill the well to Total Depth (TD). AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
