Located in Southern California and have land in Desoto Parish. Chesapeak is repeatedly contacting us wanting to lease the land, we have heard of more royalties for unleased land. We are not there to keep an eye on things and feel left out. What are the pro's and con's any suggestions? We are in S35-T14N-R15W area.

If Shreveport Attourneys fees are so low, then why should CHK pay for it?
Our cousin has 70 acres that are ajoined to our 2 acres, he leased to CHK last year for 10,000.00 per acre before the economy took the dive. He said that they were putting in a well on the land, I dont know if they put it on his land or not. Our land is in S35-T14N-R15W

The landman upped his price today from $1250.00 per acre to $1750.00 per acre, he sure keeps trying to get us to sign a standard lease form.
