THANK YOU! For all the great replies regarding my question, the 500+ acres is spread out in three different sections Actually the andowner has 30% of one section, 45% of another and 60% of one more, Actually the total acreage is near 1000. That may make the question easier to answerr So it still stands Sell reserves or lease???

Lease, now would be about the dumbest time you could ever sell reserves.
Sell or Lease?? LEASE unless you really really really need the cash and can't afford to get a loan!!!

How about a third option: sit and wait! Let things come to you! prices are low and not going anywhere quick. Just give it some time and the offers will come to you. Ignore a few and let the market improve!

Note to self: SELL when market is high! Do Not Sell when markets are in toilet.
