Is it possible that some operators after the frac job are not removing all of the plugs in the beginning and show a lower initial production

BJ, most operators use the choke size (opening) as the method for controlling initial flow rates. The traditional approach would have choke sizes in the 22/64" to 26/64" range. Several operators are using a more restricted choke size initially (ie 12/64" to 18/64") for various reasons.

It is not likely an operator would not drill all the plugs after the frac job unless some type of mechanical issue was encountered.
