I was offered 500.00 for a company to put 30 rods on my property. This is not per rod. 500 total...does this sound about right?

Also Emily if this pipeline is to transport gas from other sections you can ask for a gee of a lot more regardless of what your lease says.

Kim it is across the entire road frontage part of my land.  They are saying they already have the right to lay pipeline but went ahead and chose to sent the 500.00 for something.  I am confused. I signed a lease to explore 2 yrs ago...and was paid 450 per acre. If you know, what do they mean by "proportionate" amt per the 3000.00 per acre?

Emily, these pipiline people will say anything to get what they want cheap I've been lied to and my intelligence insulted by these yahoo's. The proportionate ant per acre is what they want to payfor apportion of an acre. I don't know where you live my property is in keatchie.they told me my property was worth 3000 an acre but my neighbors dirt right next to me was20000 an acre.never could get an answer as to why except I have a double wide on the place.ha! But I would not want a pipeline across my road frontage.what if you needed to hook up to utilities or something?

Yes be sure that they can only transport product from your units wells ..if they want to use it for other products then they supposed to pay more.

Also..you do not have to agree to allow this.  The reason I refused this transport of other product is that in the event they close the wells they drill on my unit then there will not be a pipeline running across my land for another well's benefit without paying for the right.

An attorney told me that it can work kind of like a toll road.

You really do need an attorney before you sign anything.  Got that advice right here on this site and I acted on it.Never been sorry about that.

I have learned a lot on this site but I didn't have to pay the obscene price of ignorance.  ONe fee to the attorney was all it cost me.

Well Ima talk to a lawyer My land in Lincoln parish cvd...Its funny that they said just today that :they already have rights: yet sent a notarized paper along with the 500.
Emily in Louisiana the pipeline company's only have eminent domain for interstate pipelines. So I doubt they have rights through your property.
Krky, I suspect this will come up...being that there are a few wells coming up/exist very near mine!
