Thanks, Marilyn. Is this for S36 - 11N -11W? Or S36 - 11N - 12W? If you can upload the pre-conference notice letter, it would be helpful. If not, please post the correct section - township - range and the company that is applying for the new unit.

The section is 36 T11N-R12W, Petrohawk.

Thanks. Maybe Petrohawk will give Chesapeake and SWEPI/Encana a little competition in your area. There is no way to know how soon a well will follow. A unit order is good indefinitely and there is no requirement to drill within any fixed time frame. However, it is not unusual for a well permit to follow soon after the granting of a unit order. It's quite possible that you will see a well pad being built in the section before the permit appears on SONRIS. Good Luck.

Hey, Crunchy. I'm speaking of leasing competition. As in better offers. I'd take a good lease from SWEPI in a second. And expect my well to be drilled by Encana. If not, Chesapeake or Petrohawk would be just fine thank you.

I've never received a "unit drilling notice" despite a well currently being drilled in my section (spud Sep 29). I leased last spring. Is this a cause for concern?

MB. Probably not. In some cases wells are permitted before application is made for a unit covering that section. If that is the case, the permit for the well you mention will say, "non-unitized". If you will give me the section - township - range, I'll look it up for you.

I have dealt with swepi. They are tight with their lease money and even worse with their wells. Looks like they have given up on digging them altogether. Too late for some of us though.

It's never too late. If your swepi lease expires, someone else will come. Patience.
It's strange though... They have a dozen wells completed, but not reporting on sonris. They are still permitting new wells. I sure wish someone could shed light on what the heck they are doing.

Yes, it is too late. HBP even though there is none. I am not sure they know what they are doing. I hope it is not some conspiracy to HBP as many sections as possible and sit on them until more profitable.
If swepi comes a knockin' draw the curtains and hide.

My apologies but I do not understand your statement above, "HBP even though there is none". Are you saying that you are HBP even though there is no well?

My understanding is once they spud you are held by production. They can leave the well shut in indefinately. At least that is what I am told. I hope I am wrong. Until they decide to turn on the well...I am stuck.
