What is the fair price for landowner to receive for well site? About 5 acres

Are you leased?
Is this Texas or Louisiana?
Is your land located in or out of the boundaries of the unit? I don't know what is "fair", but my property is in Texas and the well site is not within the boundaries of the unit. My family received $5000 per acre for surface damages plus we will get an annual lease payment of $1000 per acre as long as the site is being used. We were paid for our timber. We also were paid for a subsurface easement on the well bore.

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
