Question Regarding Well in RRP, Sec. 30 ,14N, 9W

Hi, I have just been told by a neighbor that the well in the section above has gone horizontal and that he heard it went South. If that is true, it will be in Section 31, so my question is who gets paid? Does section 31 get paid since the well is drilled in Section 30?
Do they get the bigger part of the money and Section 30 only a little?
CONCERNED!!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
