I just found out that there was a well drilled in my section 1 T13N  R13W, in September 2010, and I have not heard anything from any company.  Should I have been notified by now, and when should I start receiving royalty checks?

The well is the Norris 1-13-13, being drilled by Chesapeake.  The latest sonris report was from November, showing the well had reached total depth.  It is too early for you to receive royalty checks.  The well must be completed and turned to sales.  After that, it usually takes about 3 months before you receive your first royalty check.  The good new is that Chesapeake had drilled many very good wells right in your area.
